Control System Engineer

A leading company in the field of smart drone solutions is seeking an experienced Control Engineer. The role involves playing a central part in the development, operation, and enhancement of flight control systems for autonomous flight.

Located in Netanya, the company's offices are within walking distance from the train station.

The Role

• Develop and implement control algorithms for drones, including PID and stabilization logic.
• Monitor and control flight systems in real time.
• Work with various sensors (GPS, IMU, cameras, LiDAR) and integrate data streams.
• Analyze flight data and optimize system performance.
• Write scripts and automation tools using Python.
• Support communication systems between the drone and the ground station.
• Perform real-time troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Work closely with software, hardware, and algorithm teams.

Tech Stack & Environment

• Control & Algorithms: Control loops, PID, stabilization logic, feedback loops, filters
• Sensors & Integration: Sensor Fusion, GPS, IMU, cameras, LiDAR
• Languages & Tools: Python, ROS, PX4, ArduPilot
• Domain: Autonomous robotics, UAVs, flight dynamics

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautics, or Physics
• Proven experience in dynamic systems control, robotics, or drones
• Strong understanding of control algorithms (PID, filters, feedback loops)
• Hands-on experience working with Python
• Familiarity with sensor systems and Sensor Fusion
• Significant Advantages:
• Experience with UAV systems or autonomous robotics
• Familiarity with ROS, PX4, or ArduPilot
