Senior Backend Engineer (Hybrid)

Our platform helps businesses across industries identify, manage, and mitigate compliance risks more effectively. We have a growing base of paying customers, strong industry partnerships, and a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continual learning.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale our product and take our platform to the next level. You’ll be joining a small but mighty core team, working closely with product managers and engineers to build robust, scalable systems—and solve real customer problems along the way.

This role is hybrid-friendly. You can work remotely, from our office, or mix both—whatever helps you do your best work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design & Development: Build and maintain reliable backend systems for our web application, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Feature Implementation: Translate business requirements into functional backend features, collaborating with product and engineering teams.
• Code Quality: Write clean, well-tested code, review others’ work, and help establish and maintain best practices.
• Mentorship: Support junior developers through mentoring and feedback, fostering growth and quality across the team.
• System Monitoring: Help ensure high availability and efficient use of system resources in our cloud environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience building backend systems with Python in production environments
• Hands-on experience with web applications (ideally using Django or similar frameworks) and solid SQL knowledge
• Experience working in Linux-based systems and navigating the terminal comfortably
• Familiarity with AWS services like ECS, RDS, S3, and Lambdas
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
