Senior Cloud Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to take a key, hands-on role in securing AWS and Azure cloud environments.

This position combines deep technical ownership of cloud security controls, architecture reviews, policy implementation, and incident analysis, within a professional cloud security and cyber defense team. The role requires strong technical depth, independent decision-making, and a solid understanding of cloud attack and defense domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage cloud security programs across AWS and Azure.
• Design, implement, and operate cloud security controls and guardrails.
• Write, manage, and enforce cloud security policies.
• Perform cloud architecture reviews and provide security guidance for projects.
• Monitor cloud security activities and analyze cloud security incidents.
• Lead the implementation of security platforms and cloud security projects.
• Work with security standards and regulations, with emphasis on financial regulatory requirements.
• Provide security consulting, oversight, and risk assessment for cloud-based initiatives.
• Write procedures, guidelines, and proposals to improve professional workflows.
• Collaborate with technology teams, business units, and the Risk Management & Cyber Defense function.
• Proactively initiate improvements to cloud security posture and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and operating cloud security solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Relevant cloud and/or security certifications.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Proven experience leading security projects end to end.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of independence, ownership mindset, and fast decision-making ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented approach.
• High-level English (reading and writing).
• Strong motivation and ability to continuously learn new technologies.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Splunk and CrowdStrike.
• Advanced security certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, OSCP, CISSP.
• Experience investigating security incidents and monitoring threats in cloud environments.
