About the Role

This is not a standard Data Analyst role.

Boards is looking for an experienced, strong, hands-on data professional to own the entire data domain at the company — from infrastructure and modeling to insights and business impact.

You will work directly with leadership, shape how decisions are made, and build the foundations of a scalable data function in a fast-growing startup.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Ownership

 • Own the data domain across the company — from raw data to business impact

 • Act as the go-to person for all data-related questions and initiatives

Data Infrastructure & Engineering Mindset

 • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, datasets, and core data models

 • Improve and scale data architecture to support growth and reliability

 • Work closely with engineering on tracking, data flows, and infrastructure

Analytics & Business Impact

 • Analyze user behavior, product performance, and business trends

 • Drive product, GTM, and business decisions through actionable insights

 • Lead deep-dive analyses (funnels, retention, engagement, etc.)

AI-Driven Insights & Opportunity Identification

• Leverage AI tools and techniques to uncover deeper patterns in user behavior, product usage, and business performance

• Identify high-impact opportunities for growth, optimization, and monetization using AI-assisted analysis

• Use AI to accelerate hypothesis generation, anomaly detection, and trend discovery across large-scale datasets

• Translate AI-driven findings into clear business recommendations and actions

KPIs & Measurement

 • Define, track, and own company-wide KPIs and success metrics

 • Build measurement frameworks for product and marketing initiatives

Dashboards & Reporting

 • Build and maintain clear, reliable dashboards for leadership and teams

 • Ensure data is accessible, trusted, and actionable across the organization

Cross-Functional Leadership

 • Work directly with leadership, product, R&D, marketing, and finance

 • Translate business needs into scalable data solutions

Data Strategy & Growth

 • Identify opportunities to leverage data across the company

 • Help shape the data roadmap and future team growth

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst (preferably in a B2C SaaS environment)

 • Strong SQL skills and understanding in Data Engineering concepts — ability to write complex, efficient queries

 • Solid Python experience for data analysis

 • Hands-on experience with data pipelines / ETL and data modeling

 • Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses

 • Proven experience building dashboards (Tableau / Power BI or similar)

 • Experience with product analytics tools (Mixpanel, GA, Firebase, etc.)

 • Strong business thinking — ability to translate data into decisions

 • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including across the organization including leadership.

 • High ownership, independence, and ability to operate in ambiguity
