Software Engineering Team Lead (C++ / Embedded Linux)

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Team Lead to spearhead the development of life-changing medical products. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex system requirements and functional, high-performance software. You will lead a talented team of engineers through the full Agile lifecycle, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and technical excellence.

As a leader, you will own the delivery of C++ applications within the Linux Yocto embedded space, driving architectural decisions and ensuring seamless hardware-software integration.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

• Guide & Mentor: Lead a team of software engineers, identifying individual strengths and fostering professional growth.
• Agile Mastery: Drive the entire development lifecycle—from sprint planning and unit testing to code reviews and CI/CD deployment.
• Talent Acquisition: Own the hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members to scale our engineering capabilities.
• Execution: Manage tasks, risks, and action items to ensure timely project delivery.

Technical Oversight

• Architectural Ownership: Oversee the design and documentation of software system architectures in Linux user space and Yocto environments.
• Full-Stack Integration: Lead the integration of hardware and software components, ensuring robust communication between different system elements.
• C++ Expert: Take ultimate ownership of product deliveries written in C++.
• Problem Solving: Act as the technical point of escalation for troubleshooting and solving complex software-related issues within the device ecosystem.

Compliance & Documentation

• Regulatory Excellence: Deliver high-quality documentation adhering to medical regulatory requirements and Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) principles.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a Team Lead role.
• C++ Expert: Extensive proficiency in C++ programming is a must.
• Linux Pro: 3+ years of experience in software development within a Linux OS environment (Embedded/Yocto preferred).
• R&D Background: 5+ years of total experience in R&D environments.
• Methodology: Strong familiarity with Agile, Microservices architecture, and Design Patterns.
• DevOps Savvy: Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management practices.
• Industry Context: Previous experience in Medical Devices or other highly regulated domains is a significant advantage.
