Our research laboratory in microbiology and microbial ecology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking a Lab Technician to join a dynamic and advanced research environment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of growth media (including anaerobic media)
- Isolation and cultivation of bacterial cultures
- Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Execution of microbiological protocols (plating, dilutions, aseptic techniques)
- Support ongoing research projects
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / or a related field
- Prior laboratory experience – strong advantage
- Experience in microbiology – advantage
- High level of proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong aseptic technique and attention to detail
- High level of responsibility, organization, and reliability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Additional Advantages:
- Experience working under anaerobic conditions
- Experience with laboratory automation/robotic systems
- Familiarity with molecular techniques (PCR, DNA extraction)
