Our platform is a sophisticated autonomous decision-making engine that sits between raw sensor data and operational action. Unlike systems that stop at detection or visualization, our platform autonomously connects, orchestrates, and governs sensors, effectors, and drone operators. It processes complex data in real-time to provide automated responses and AI-assisted mission planning, acting as the critical intelligence layer for human decision-makers.

We operate globally, managing high-stakes environments like the Port of Rotterdam (managing 80+ drone vendors daily with zero shutdowns), Port of Ashdod, the IDF and more. Recently, we validated our technology for World Cup 2026 infrastructure protection alongside the US Army 7th Infantry Division, FBI, CISA, and DHS.

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is a true "Force Multiplier." This role is designed for those who thrive in a fast-moving startup environment, scaling rapidly, and who have the expertise to architect and build infrastructure from scratch.

This position perfectly combines cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, and CI/CD automation  making it the ideal opportunity for engineers who want to build the backbone of a cutting-edge AI product. At Airwayz, the infrastructure isn't just a support system, it’s the "central nervous system" of our autonomous engine.

We are looking for an AI-Native engineer who leverages modern tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) to eliminate bottlenecks and deliver high-resilience, mission-critical systems at an extraordinary pace.

• Architect & Build from Scratch: Design and implement our global, multi-region cloud infrastructure to support rapid scaling and autonomous operations.
• Hybrid-Cloud Networking: Lead the design and deployment of secure connectivity between Airwayz cloud and real-world customer environments (Cloud & On-prem).
• Master Orchestration: Lead our K8S strategy (EKS), Helm charts, and Gateway API implementation.
• Infrastructure as Code: Own the entire stack's lifecycle using Terraform and Terragrunt and Pulumi, ensuring modular design and robust state management across multi-environment configurations.
• CI/CD & GitOps: Design and maintain seamless delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, moving from code commit to global production with zero-touch automation.
• Observability: Build and manage comprehensive monitoring systems (Logz.io/Prometheus/Grafana) to ensure 360-degree visibility.
• Security & Networking: Implement defense-grade networking (VPC design, DNS, TLS/Cert management) and security protocols (IAM, WAF, Secrets Manager).
• Production Excellence: Lead incident response, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies for high-stakes deployments.
• AI-Driven Engineering: Leverage AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting and push technical standards.

• Overall 7+ years in DevOps / Infrastructure with proven startup experience.
• Strong Kubernetes mastery: Deep experience with AWS EKS cluster management, Helm charts, Gateway API, and advanced scaling strategies.
• AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of the AWS stack (EKS, VPC, ALB, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, ECR, IAM, Secrets Manager, WAF).
• AI-Native Mindset: Extensive experience with AI-powered development and automation tools (Claude, Cursor) to 5x your output.
• CI/CD & GitOps: Expertise in managing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and designing pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Networking Fundamentals: Hands-on experience with Site-to-Site VPNs and establishing secure tunnels between AWS and complex customer networks. You must know how to deploy and maintain connectivity in real-world, high-security customer environments.
• Mindset: A strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle complex infrastructure challenges autonomously.
• Culture: "Get shit done" attitude, relentless curiosity, and a proactive approach to ownership.
• Academic Foundation: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

• GCP experience: GKE, VPC, Cloud Armor, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing.
• Experience with IoT data streaming or real-time sensor integration.
• Background in defense-tech or working with global security agencies.
