Principal Procurement Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a data-centric Senior Product Growth Manager to build and scale Deel’s Cloud Compute and Software Distribution business lines as part of it’s procurement department.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between commercial strategy, product data, and user experience. You will not only manage the lifecycle of our resale partnerships but also build the data infrastructure and analytic models required to turn these services into a high-growth revenue stream, analyzing utilization rates, modeling ROI for vendors, and designing

data-driven PLG experiments to drive adoption of our Cloud and SaaS offerings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data-Driven PLG Strategy (Cloud Compute)

● Architect the Growth Funnel: Design and optimize the end-to-end data funnel for Cloud Compute adoption—from initial user segmentation to activation and monetization.

● Experimentation & Optimization: Utilize product analytics to identify friction points in the sign-up and provisioning flow. Run A/B tests on "Startup Bundles" and "Advisory Packages" to maximize conversion rates.

● Revenue Modeling: Develop revenue-share models for reseller agreements, ensuring healthy margins while maximizing value for Deel clients.

2. Commercial Analytics & Spend Intelligence.

● ROI Framework Design: Create a quantitative framework to evaluate Vendor Performance. Moving beyond qualitative feedback, you will measure ROI based on utilization rates, feature adoption, and cost-per-seat metrics.

● Variance Analysis: Conduct rigorous monthly variance analysis (Forecast vs. Actuals) for all software agreements.

3. Software Marketplace Operations

● Tech Stack Taxonomy: Maintain a structured data dictionary (SSOT) of Deel’s resold tech stack—defining seat types, ownership, and feature sets to ensure data integrity across the platform.

● Utilization Analysis: Proactively monitor software usage data to identify underutilized licenses, driving renewal strategy based on actual consumption rather than historical precedence.

4. Stakeholder Alignment & Vendor Management

● Data-Led Renewals: Lead renewal negotiations armed with usage data. You will review performance metrics and decide on renewals based on a strict quantitative assessment of value.

● Vendor KPI Tracking: Set and track strict KPIs for vendor partners. You will hold quarterly business reviews (QBRs) focused on performance data, service level agreements (SLAs), and revenue targets.

What You’ll Need

● Experience: 5+ years in Product Growth, Strategic Finance, or Technical Operations, preferably within a B2B SaaS or Cloud environment.

● Analytical Prowess: Expert proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (complex modeling, pivot tables, lookups) is non-negotiable. Experience with SQL and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Metabase) is highly preferred.

● Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of Cloud business models (consumption-based pricing), SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, Churn), and FinOps principles.

● Operational Rigor: Ability to manage complex data sets across multiple departments (Finance, Legal, Product) and maintain a pristine Single Source of Truth.

● Strategic Mindset: You don't just report data; you use it to tell a story and influence product roadmap decisions.
