Job Description:

A defense startup is seeking an FPGA Engineer to implement processing, control, and interface components on FPGA for a multispectral system in an advanced airborne/military product.

The role includes developing and integrating digital components, implementing data-processing pipelines and communication interfaces, working with sensors and memory components, and optimizing performance, timing, and resource utilization. The work is carried out in collaboration with hardware, software, algorithm, and system engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital components on FPGA
• Implement, test, and integrate processing, control, and interface blocks
• Implement algorithms in firmware, including IP procurement
• Work with sensor, memory, and high-speed communication interfaces
• Perform simulations, testing, debugging, and failure analysis
• Optimize performance, processing times, and resource utilization
• Work with multidisciplinary teams through to completion of system-level integration

Mandatory Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics
• 5+ years of experience in FPGA development and writing Verilog / VHDL / SystemVerilog
• Experience in simulation and debugging of digital designs
• Understanding of timing, clocking, CDC, and FPGA architecture
• Experience with FPGA development and synthesis tools
• Experience working with standard hardware interfaces
• Ability to work in a team and in a system-level environment
• Software background for writing board interface code
