Backend .NET Developer (IoT / Real-Time Data Processing)

Rimonim Tech Ltd is a leading technology company in the IoT space, delivering large-scale solutions for municipalities and utilities. With years of proven production experience, we build reliable platforms that transform real-world sensor data into actionable insights and automated operations.

We are building a new real-time sensor data–processing platform and are looking for an experienced Backend .NET Developer to co-own the system as it evolves from its early stages into production.

The Role

You will work on a distributed, event-driven system that ingests and processes binary sensor payloads at scale. The platform handles data from hundreds of thousands of devices, each transmitting several times per day, and routes that data through multiple microservices deployed on Kubernetes.

This is a hands-on, architectural role with room to influence design decisions as the system matures.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, integrating, and maintaining .NET services for ingesting and processing binary sensor data (custom framing, LoRaWAN, and other protocols)
• Managing and validating data flow between microservices, ensuring the correct data reaches the correct processing components
• Implementing event-driven data-processing logic and triggering actions based on incoming sensor data
• Designing schemas and queries for high-volume time-series data in PostgreSQL
• Collaborating closely with other backend and data-processing services
• Contributing to system reliability through logging, metrics, error handling, and fault-tolerant design
• Participating in architectural discussions and evolving the system design as requirements become clearer

Requirements

• Strong experience with C# and .NET
• Experience building and operating microservice-based systems
• Practical experience with Kubernetes (application-level design and deployment awareness)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with event-driven or message-based architectures
• Experience designing systems that handle structured or semi-structured binary data

Advantages

• Experience with TimescaleDB or other time-series extensions
• Experience integrating or collaborating with ML/AI components, particularly for time-series analysis or pattern detection
• Background in IoT, telemetry, or large-scale data ingestion systems
