About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, build, and optimization of our modern data platform. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a high-impact project, building scalable data lakes and platforms from scratch within a fast-growing startup backed by a large, stable group.

You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams to design an infrastructure that supports complex AI models and large-scale data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Design and implement scalable data platforms and data lakes using technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Pipeline Development: Develop and optimize large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Performance & Efficiency: Ensure high performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across all data systems.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models, transformations, and orchestration.
• Governance: Apply industry best practices in data modeling, monitoring, security, and access control.

Requirements

• Experience: 3-5 years in Data Engineering or Data Infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on: Proven experience building modern data platforms or data lakes from the ground up (A must).
• Coding: Strong Python programming skills and deep experience with Spark / PySpark.
• Systems: Solid knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-based architectures.
• ETL/ELT: Expert-level experience with ETL/ELT processes and handling data at scale.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks.
• Experience supporting Machine Learning (ML) workloads.
