A global, publicly traded (NASDAQ) technology company developing life-saving safety systems for the railway industry.

Their platform utilizes advanced image processing and computer vision to provide early collision warnings for locomotive drivers, detecting obstacles on tracks under all weather and lighting conditions.

With approximately 60 employees and experiencing significant growth, the company is located in the Central District (Train-line) and operates on a hybrid model with one day of remote work.

The Role

Algorithm R&D: Researching and developing state-of-the-art Deep Learning and Computer Vision algorithms.
Production-Grade AI: Designing and implementing models that are successfully deployed in complex, real-world production environments.
Advanced Modeling: Utilizing CNNs and mathematical modeling to solve detection challenges in diverse outdoor settings.
Physics-Informed AI: Developing algorithms that integrate physical constraints to handle unique environmental variables.
End-to-End Ownership: Driving the research lifecycle from conceptual mathematical modeling to high-performance software implementation.

Requirements

M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field (or B.Sc. with extensive, proven industry experience).
4+ years of experience as an Algorithm Researcher with a track record of deploying models into production.
Deep understanding of Deep Learning and Computer Vision algorithms.
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
Solid background in Mathematical Modeling.
Experience with object detection or segmentation in adverse lighting/weather conditions – a significant advantage.
