Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Embedded and Electro-Optical (EO) Systems, you will lead all activities related to the design, execution, and validation of our electrical circuits and boards. You will own the full electrical lifecycle—from requirements definition and board architecture through schematic design, layout, implementation, bring-up, debugging, and verification.

Your Role

You will guide and mentor our electrical technicians and manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery. The role requires deep experience working with EO system electronics, including board-level definitions, mixed-signal design, high speed cameras pipeline, and complex system integration. Your leadership will directly impact on the reliability, performance, and operational capabilities of our tactical EO products.

Responsibilities:

·        Lead end-to-end electrical design for EO system boards, including requirements definition, schematic creation, simulation, and design reviews meeting military standards.

·        Own board-level architecture and interface definitions, ensuring robust performance across power, analog, digital, and high-speed domains.

·        Guide PCB execution, perform or oversee layout activities, and coordinate with subcontracted design houses and manufacturing partners.

·        Supervise and mentor electrical technicians; oversee lab bring-up, validation, and debugging of complex mixed-signal boards.

·        Perform detailed root-cause analysis; resolve electrical issues related to sensors, drivers, actuators, power stages, communication interfaces, and embedded processors.

·        Collaborate closely with system engineering, optics, algorithms, software, mechanics, and production to ensure seamless electrical integration across the EO system.

·        Develop and execute test plans for board-level and system-level electrical validation.

·        Select BOM components ensuring lifecycle availability, support, supply chain challenges etc. Manage vendors and suppliers, ensuring technical compliance, availability, and quality of electrical components and assemblies.

·        Support reliability, environmental, and EMC qualification testing.

·        Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, documentation, and development methodologies. Create production documentation for our products.

Qualifications:

·        B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

·        10+ years of experience in electrical design for electro-optical, embedded, airborne, or defense-related systems.

·        Proven experience with board-level design, implementation, bring-up, debugging, and validation of complex electronics.

·        Strong hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design, including power electronics, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, and high-speed digital systems.

·        Familiarity with EO system components military grade (image sensors, cameras, IR modules, laser systems, gimbals, stabilization units, embedded compute).

·        Experience managing PCB layout processes and working with external design/manufacturing partners.

·        Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, thermal measurement tools).

·        Strong documentation skills, including requirements, test procedures, and engineering reports.

·        Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
