Mainframe Operator

Matrix is hiring a Mainframe Operator for a leading organization in the financial sector.

The role includes ongoing work with the mainframe environment and open systems, scheduling and monitoring processes using Control-M and IOA products, overseeing scheduled and ad-hoc batch jobs across mainframe and open environments, troubleshooting software issues in the mainframe and open systems environments in collaboration with development, project, and infrastructure teams, providing phone support to end users, handling system incidents, and working in a production environment that requires high attention to detail.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience

• Graduate of a Mainframe / IBM z/OS operating systems course

• Knowledge of JCL commands and execution of scheduled and ad-hoc jobs

• Experience working in UNIX / Windows open environments

• Hands-on experience with Control-M on mainframe and Control-M/EM in open systems

• Familiarity with databases in MVS environments )DB2)

• Willingness to work in shifts
