Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Investment Analyst at SMARTGEN ISRAEL, located in Netanya. The role requires a combination of hands-on experience in portfolio management and investment research.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of tailored investment strategies aligned with clients’ goals and risk profiles
• Monitor portfolios, surface timely adjustments including rebalancing and tactical shifts
• Coordinate execution to implement investment decisions
• Select investment instruments in line with portfolio strategy, with a primary focus on equities and fixed income. Сonduct independent research to support investment decisions. Participate in the regular investment committee process.
• Maintain back-office systems and client records in line with the company policies. Maintain reporting accuracy within the PM system (QPLIX), ensuring consistency with financial documentation.
• Perform regular portfolio reviews and performance tracking, including a holistic view of clients’ total wealth (public and private assets)
• Build and maintain relationships with asset managers, fund managers and partners
• Ad Hoc & Project Work: Prepare investment proposals, memos, and client materials. Support internal projects aimed at improving efficiency, automation, and reporting processes.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, buy-side/sell-side research, or private banking
• Strong understanding of capital markets and investment instruments, including alternatives (PE, VC, real estate)
• Ability to independently analyze investment products and form well-structured views
• Ability to distill complex investment ideas into client-friendly language and communicate effectively with HNWI clients at eye level
• Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (CFA or progress toward it is a plus)
• Russian and English is a must; Hebrew is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of ownership, curiosity, and drive
