What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Group Manager to join our growing R&D organization in Tel Aviv. In this role, you will lead and scale a group of teams responsible for the core of Hyro’s AI Voice product. A key focus of this role is to drive the growth of the product offering, executing quickly, innovating, and continuously improving the existing product to ensure it remains production-grade, scalable, and reliable AI.

You will play a key role in shaping and executing our technical vision, driving the evolution of our conversational AI and voice solutions, and building a strong, high-performing engineering organization while working super closely with the product team. This role reports to the CPTO.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, scale, and mentor an engineering group of 15–20 engineers, delivering complex, AI-driven products at scale.
• Manage Team Leads and Partner closely with the CTO to translate technical vision into execution and ensure strong alignment across teams.
• Collaborate deeply with Product Managers to define and execute the roadmap for Hyro’s Voice core product.
• Drive continuous improvement of R&D processes, structure, and engineering culture to support rapid growth and high-throughput environments.
• Foster technical excellence, mentor future leaders, and build a strong leadership pipeline within Hyro.
• Own cross-functional collaboration, ensuring strong synchronization between your group and other departments across the company.
  
  

• 7+ years of experience in Engineering, and at least 2 years as a Group Manager or similar role.
• Proven track record of managing at scale in high-growth companies.
• Deep technical rooting with the ability to lead architecture reviews and stay close to the technology.
• Experience designing and operating large systems with an emphasis on scalability, high availability, and performance.
• Strong familiarity with Python, Node.js, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience designing, building, and operating large systems with emphasis on scalability, high availability, comprehensive testing, and performance optimization.
• Experience building virtual assistants or SaaS products - an advantage.
• Familiar/experienced with AI agents - an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficient English.
