Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cell culture procedures, including media preparation, feeding, passaging, and cell reprogramming (e.g., PBMCs to iPSCs), while maintaining strict aseptic technique
• Monitor cell health, viability, and growth, ensuring consistency and reproducibility of stem cell workflows
• Perform DNA and PBMC extraction from clinical specimens to support downstream applications
• Ensure sample traceability: receive, log, and accession clinical samples according to laboratory protocols
• Verify specimen integrity, labeling, and accompanying documentation
• Coordinate proper storage and tracking of samples throughout the testing workflow

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional during their PhD, looking for a part time position. As a Weekend (Part Time - Hourly) Research Associate focused on maintaining cell cultures over the weekends and holidays, you will be responsible for:

Required Qualifications:

• PhD candidate in cell biology or related discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience working with various cell cultures: maintenance, passaging, etc.
• Stem cell and/or neuronal cell culture experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
