Job Description

We are looking for a Senior RF System Engineer to join a new product development team working on advanced RF wireless systems.

This role focuses on RF system requirements definition, system simulations, hands‑on lab integration, and end‑to‑end system bring‑up, including systems based on large‑scale analog and digital phased‑array antennas.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to defining RF and mmWave system architectures, including transceiver lineups and link budget analysis
• Support RFIC integration, design validation, and performance optimization
• Perform hands‑on RF measurements and system characterization. Analyze captured IQ data and define transmit signal vectors
• Debug and resolve complex system‑level performance and integration issues
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with system, RFIC, DSP, and software teams to enable features and optimize performance
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in RF systems, radio integration, or wireless validation
• Solid understanding of RF, analog, and digital modem fundamentals, including signal processing and PHY‑layer / digital communications
• Strong hands‑on experience with RF measurements, RF transceiver components, system lineups, and link budget analysis
• Hands‑on experience with wireless system bring‑up, RF interfaces, and RF lab equipment
• Knowledge of Wi‑Fi PHY/MAC, phased‑array systems, and 802.11 / 3GPP / FCC standards is a plus
• Independent, proactive problem solver with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for analysis and simulation.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  
  

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
• 4+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G).
• 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Staff level and above).
  
  

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Leverages advanced Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.
• Performs complex functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.
• Develops and analyzes complex system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management teams, engineering teams, etc.) to complete project work, including implementing and verifying the system.
• Develops algorithms and works on new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.
• Drives triage of complex problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to internal and external stakeholders.

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
