Backend Team Leader (Email Security)

We are looking for an R&D Team Leader to join and lead our growing team that responsible to build the next‑generation AI‑driven Email Security product from the ground up. If you possess exceptional technical and leadership skills and have a passion for creating new applications or enhancing existing ones, we would love to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing backend engineering team and collaborate with Full Stack and Automation Engineers.
• Partner with PM to deliver a new and exciting roadmap
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to production deployment.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation, and shift to AI-driven life cycle development.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals.
• Own project timelines and resource management to ensure timely delivery and high-quality coverage
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Ensure end-to-end visibility of project status, including timely communication of risks, blockers, and daily progress
  
  

• At least 3 years of proven experience leading engineering teams.
• At least 6 years of experience in Backend Development.
• Experience leading a global engineering team – an advantage
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python (AsyncIO).
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
• Proficiency working with backend technologies such as databases, caching systems, Kubernetes, containers, Kafka, queues, and cloud environments in large-scale systems.
• Passionate about technology, actively using AI in daily work to optimize processes and drive impact.
• Experience building products from scratch – an advantage.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and strong teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach to driving tasks forward.
