Sheba Medical Center is undergoing a major transformation, building the next generation of Data & AI platforms to revolutionize healthcare.
As part of this journey, we are implementing a modern Data Lakehouse architecture powered by Databricks — turning complex healthcare data into actionable insights, enabling advanced analytics, and driving AI-based innovation.
We are looking for a Data Engineering Tech Lead who combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to take part in shaping large-scale data infrastructure in one of the most advanced healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of scalable Data Engineering infrastructure
- Build and optimize data pipelines and AI frameworks
- Work closely with architects, data scientists, analysts, and product teams
- Define and implement best practices, standards, and design patterns
- Develop reusable data solutions to support multiple teams
- Drive performance optimization and data reliability
- Implement Data/AI DevOps & FinOps practices
- Mentor and technically lead data engineers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Data Engineering (hands-on)
- Strong experience with Apache Spark and Databricks
- Deep understanding of modern data architecture (Lakehouse / Data Platforms)
- Experience building end-to-end data pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services / Microsoft Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills and system-level thinking
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Databricks / Data Engineering)
- Experience with performance tuning and large-scale data environments
