Electronic Manufacturing Technologist

We are looking for an Electronic Manufacturing Technologist to join the Engineering and Systems Factory within the Missile & Space Division (MATACH).

About the role:

The position includes technological responsibility for defining, developing, and maintaining electronic manufacturing processes across production lines and multidisciplinary systems. This includes PCB production, electronic assemblies, and electromechanical integration, as well as leading the introduction of new technologies, materials, and processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Technological ownership of electronic manufacturing processes, including SMT lines for PCBs, electronic boxes, and electromechanical assemblies, including validation and continuous improvement

• Responsibility for PCB technology across the full lifecycle – from PCB fabrication through assembly, including implementation of new processes and materials

• Research, evaluation, and implementation of emerging manufacturing technologies in electronic production

• Professional ownership of component libraries and PCB layout technology, including participation in definition and approval of new electronic components

• Support and consultation for electronic hardware development processes, including participation in design reviews (PDR, CDR, PRR)

• Execution and analysis of manufacturing process quality inspections such as AOI, SPI, and X-ray

• Leading and supporting failure analysis and root-cause investigations

• Qualification and approval of PCB and electronic assembly suppliers

• Definition, validation, and control of manufacturing materials and processes

• Writing and updating process specifications, manufacturing standards, and technical procedures

• Providing recommendations and alerts regarding reliability of electronic assemblies for mission-specific environmental conditions (military, aerospace, space), including mechanical, electrical, PCB fabrication, and assembled board reliability considerations

• Leading technological aspects of space-grade manufacturing, including PCB fabrication and SMT assembly for space applications

What we’re looking for:

• Academic degree in Materials Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Electrical Engineering, or a degree in Chemistry

• At least 7 years of experience working with suppliers and subcontractors in Israel and abroad

• Full proficiency in Hebrew and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
