Job description :



Mainframe / Open Systems Dispatcher:

• Ongoing work with the Mainframe and Open Systems environments.
• Familiarity with IOA products and job scheduling using CONTROL-M.
• Monitoring and scheduling of routine / ad-hoc processing in the Mainframe and Open Systems.
• Troubleshooting software issues in M/F (Mainframe) and Open Systems environments in collaboration with project development and infrastructure teams.
• Telephone support for end-users.
• Handling system errors.
• Working in a production environment requiring strict attention to detail.

Shift Hours: Work is done in three shifts, 5 days a week (Fridays and Saturday nights - as required).

• Morning: 07:00 - 14:00
• Afternoon: 14:00 - 21:00
• Night: 21:00 - 07:00

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field - Mandatory.
• Graduates of a Mainframe / IBM Z/OS operating system course.
• Familiarity with JCL commands and executing ad-hoc and routine JOBs.
• Knowledge of Open Systems environments (UNIX / WINDOWS).
• Experience working with CONTROL-M on Mainframes and CONTROL-M/EM in Open Systems.
• Familiarity with databases in the MVS environment (primarily DB2).
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow system - an advantage.
• Self-learning ability, adaptability to changes, ability to work shifts (especially night shifts), motivation, excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, responsibility, and reliability.
