Medical Scientist - Real World Data

Wenham Carter are partnered with a digital health AI technology enterprise that is transforming how insights are generated from clinical data.

They are seeking a Medical RWD Scientist, to join their growing medical team. The position sits at the intersection of clinical expertise, AI, and real world data. This is ideal for a medical doctor by training who enjoys applying medical expertise in a technology and innovation-led environment.

In this role you will translate clinical and research questions into well‑designed, data‑driven projects. You will play a critical role in shaping high‑quality, structured medical datasets for external industry partners, while collaborating closely with internal product, analytics, and data science teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, curation, and validation of high‑quality medical and clinical datasets
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, data analysis, and data science teams
• Work with healthcare data partners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and clinical relevance of data
• Contribute to real‑world evidence generation, cohort building, and hypothesis testing initiatives

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, MB BCh) or equivalent
• Post graduate experience in clinical medicine
• Experience working in digital health, health technology, pharma or Life Sciences
• Strong understanding of RWD/RWE and epidemiology
• Research experience from hypothesis generation to execution and publication

Ideal

• Advanced research degree in addition to medical studies (PhD, MPH)
• Experience with data tools SQL, Python, R, SPSS etc.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems, clinical ontologies and medication dictionaries
• Client-facing exposure
