Cyber Researcher

Cyber Researcher | Southern Region | Full-time

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Cyber Researcher for an organization in the southern region. This is a key role for professionals with deep research expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced research in two or more of the following domains: malware analysis, vulnerability research, forensics, communication protocols, penetration testing, reverse engineering, Big Data research, and development of research tools
• Extract actionable insights from technological intelligence data
• Perform in-depth analysis across diverse systems and protocols
• Develop tools to support advanced cybersecurity research
• Identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats using a research-driven approach

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience performing relevant cybersecurity research tasks
• Proven experience in two or more of the following domains: malware, vulnerabilities, forensics, reverse engineering, communication protocols, penetration testing, Big Data, or research tool development
• Strong, proven knowledge of systems and protocols, with the ability to extract insights from technological intelligence data
• Research background in identifying, analyzing, and handling cyber threats (forensics, networks, intelligence, incident response, monitoring, Big Data, tool development, etc.)
• Strong understanding of operating systems, information security, and data communications
• System-level thinking, strong technological affinity, and service awareness
