Restaurant.AI is the all-in-one operating system for restaurants. We replace the patchwork of disconnected tools that operators are forced to glue together — POS, procurement, staff management, reservations, marketing, and daily ops — with one unified platform built by people who actually run restaurants.

We're past the idea stage. Our MVP is live with paying customers, and the full UX/UI is designed and ready to scale. We're now looking for a technical co-founder to own the entire technology side of the company.

The Role

This is a Co-Founder & CTO position, not a hire. You'll own technology end-to-end: architecture, engineering, hiring, infrastructure, and the technical roadmap. You'll work directly with the founder (deep restaurant-industry operator) to take a working product to a category-defining platform.

What You'll Do

• Own the full technical strategy, architecture, and execution of the Restaurant.AI platform
• Build the engineering team from the ground up and shape the engineering culture
• Translate the existing product design and customer feedback into a scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS architecture
• Lead all technology decisions: stack, infrastructure, integrations, AI capabilities, data, and native client strategy
• Partner with the founder on company strategy, fundraising, and key business decisions
• Drive the product forward alongside real customers already using the platform daily
• Define and lead the company's AI strategy — from foundation model selection to building proprietary AI capabilities that compound into a real moat
• Embed AI deeply across the product: predictive operations, automated workflows, intelligent reservations, demand forecasting, and operator-facing copilots

You're a Fit If You Have

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with several years in senior or leadership positions
• Proven experience architecting and scaling production B2B SaaS systems
• Experience building and shipping native OS applications (iOS / iPadOS / Android / macOS / Windows) — restaurant environments rely heavily on native clients for POS, and on-floor tools.
• Experience hiring, leading, and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong full-stack capabilities, with a clear point of view on modern web architecture
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure), CI/CD, and security best practices
• The mindset of a builder and an owner — you want equity and impact, not just a title
• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered features in production — not just experimentation. You've integrated LLMs, fine-tuned models, or built retrieval systems that real users rely on
• Strong intuition for where AI genuinely creates value vs. where it's noise — and the engineering discipline to know the difference
• Working knowledge of modern AI infrastructure: LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, evaluation frameworks, and cost/latency optimization at scale
