Pre-Sale Application Engineer – 3D Scanning

Position Overview: We are looking for a technical and highly verbal Application Engineer to lead our 3D scanning pre-sale processes. In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced technology and industrial needs, conducting demonstrations, analyzing client requirements, and implementing cutting-edge scanning, quality control, and reverse engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Sale Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical backing throughout the sales cycle for industrial clients.
• Client Engagement: Lead technical discussions during client meetings to identify pain points and engineering requirements.
• Product Demonstrations: Perform live demonstrations of 3D scanners and specialized software.
• Solution Architecture: Analyze client needs to propose customized solutions for scanning, quality control (QC), and reverse engineering.
• Metrology & QC: Demonstrate complex QC processes, including measurements and CAD-to-Scan comparisons.
• Content Preparation: Create 3D models, scans, and detailed reports to support sales efforts.
• Implementation & Training: Lead equipment installations and provide professional training to clients.
• Internal Coordination: Work closely with sales, service, and laboratory teams to ensure operational excellence.
• Global Liaison: Coordinate with the manufacturer's technical teams to resolve complex issues.
• Event Support: Provide professional representation at exhibitions, demo days, and industry events.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design – Must.
• Industry Experience: Proven familiarity with 3D printers or 3D scanners – Must.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced command of SolidWorks – Must.
• Engineering Foundation: Deep understanding of dimensions, tolerances, 3D modeling, and technical drawings – Must.
• Quality Control: Practical experience with Quality Control (QC) processes – Must.
• Soft Skills: High verbal ability with strong sales and persuasion skills.
• Languages: High-level English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Mobility: Readiness for frequent travel across the country as required.
