DevOps Team Lead

A high-growth Computer Vision & AI startup dedicated to the maritime industry. The company’s innovative technology serves as an "intelligent lookout" for commercial ships, processing vast amounts of sensory data to provide real-time alerts and navigational support.

As they scale their global operations, they are looking for a foundational leader to build their DevOps infrastructure and team.

Located in central Tel Aviv with immediate access to the Light Rail, the company offers a mission-driven environment with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities-

• Team Foundations: Establishing and leading the DevOps team in Israel from scratch, including future recruitment and professional mentorship.
• Remote Management: Managing and directing a DevOps Engineer based in Europe (Ukraine), ensuring alignment with global R&D goals.
• Infrastructure as Code: Taking full ownership of the production environment, utilizing Terraform (or similar IaC tools) to build scalable, resilient systems.
• Orchestration & CI/CD: Architecting and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and managing the end-to-end GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Strategy: Managing complex Cloud environments (primarily AWS), optimizing for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Hands-on Execution: Remaining deeply involved in technical execution, troubleshooting, and the continuous improvement of the R&D delivery lifecycle.

Requirements-

• Professional Seniority: At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in high-tech environments – Mandatory.
• Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a management or team lead capacity – Mandatory.
• Orchestration Mastery: Deep, proven experience with Kubernetes in production environments – Mandatory.
• IaC & CI/CD Expertise: High proficiency with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD frameworks – Mandatory.
• Cloud Proficiency: Strong experience with Cloud platforms (AWS is a significant advantage) – Mandatory.
• OS & Environment: Expert-level knowledge of Linux environments.
• Hybrid Leadership DNA: The ability to balance high-level infrastructure planning with day-to-day hands-on technical tasks.
