IT Manager

HISKY provides secure satellite communication and control for small, long range, manned and unmanned platforms. HISKY’ provides a flexible, low SWaP system, for on-the-move satellite communication solutions for air, land and sea. HISKY provides a full end to end system including remote terminals, hubs and network management. Technologies developed by HISKY for this system incorporate RF, antennas, digital, real time software, management software, communication and others.

We are looking for a Hands-On IT Manager to oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s IT infrastructure and support systems.

This role combines technical execution with strategic oversight, ideal for a professional who enjoys both managing and actively participating in day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the company’s IT roadmap, aligning infrastructure and systems with business growth
• Design and implement scalable IT architecture, policies, and best practices
• Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters across the organization
• Manage and optimize cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS tools
• Oversee networks, endpoints, identity management, and access control
• CISO certification, Experience with cyber security toolkit( XDR-SIEM-SOC services, bit-locker, Intune, NAC, etc.) experienced in backup processes , experienced in creating the DR and BCP processes, and centralized logging..
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of all systems
• Implement and maintain strong security controls, policies, and monitoring
• Manage identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, and data protection
• Lead readiness for audits and compliance requirements (as applicable)
• Provide Tier 1–3 support for employees across all IT-related issues
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems efficiently
• Manage onboarding/offboarding processes, including equipment and access
• Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and MSPs
• Own procurement of hardware, software, and licenses
• Optimize costs while maintaining high standards of service
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency
• Build systems and workflows that support rapid company growth
• Establish documentation and knowledge management practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT/System Administration, including at least one role in a scaling company
• Background supporting manufacturing, telecom, or high-availability environments.
• Proven ability to operate as a standalone IT owner
• Strong hands-on experience with:

Management of Fortinet equipment.

EDR management.

Networking, endpoints, and security best practices.

Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) - Advantage

SaaS ecosystem (Microsoft 365,)

• Experience implementing IT security frameworks and policies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and service-oriented mindset
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong ownership mentality.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to prioritize competing demands.
