System Engineer

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to join the Flight Systems division at IAI’s ELTA Systems, working on a next-generation manned mission aircraft program.

The position includes:

• Leading the development of a mission suite for a manned mission aircraft (System of Systems), including sensors, operator and pilot C2 systems, communication systems, and active mission capabilities

• Writing and defining the operational concept (CONOP/OCD) and validating it with key stakeholders

• Defining system architecture, components, and interconnections by identifying and developing cross-system engineering assets and processes

• Developing system specifications: translating customer requirements, operational concepts, engineering constraints, and regulatory requirements into detailed system requirements and allocating them to development teams

• Preparing and leading internal and external design reviews (DRs)

• Providing matrix leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams and external partners, and reviewing their deliverables

• Defining verification and validation strategy and leading full system integration until delivery to the customer

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Engineering – required (Electrical Engineering / Software Engineering – advantage)

• At least 2 years of experience in System Engineering – significant advantage

• Familiarity with requirements and lifecycle management tools such as TcSE, MicroFocus ALM, and Jira – advantage

• Strong system-level thinking and multidisciplinary understanding

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English

• Ability to independently learn new technical domains
