Head of Global Logistics

Head of global logistics will develop and manage competitive flexible Global Logistics network to create business advantage and support Adama’s productions and sales in disruptive market.

Increasing cost control – setting logistics business plan and budget, develop logistics cost centres , define budget owners , develop online cost control tools and logistics – financials KPI’s including tight monitoring of WP vs Actuals.

Increasing Operational control – developed and implement online global visibility tools for logistics forecast as well as on line operations visibility on a global level. Providing ad hock strategic solution to support Adama’s operational continuity during global disruptions, develop global Logistics SOP / SLA / KPI along with meeting global trade compliance.

Leading global logistics strategies: Designing the logistics network, and defining the logistics mode of operation, policies, service levels.

Cost reduction project. Leading “Fight Forward” logistics program globally – working with regional management and operational teams, to reduce logistics expenses by: service levels adjustments, changing mode of operation , developing automation tools and supplier negotiation.

Logistics community – As part of Adama’s new operation model, logistics managers will report (doted line) to head of global logistics. Head of global logistics will develop a knowledge sharing community and global logistics center of excellence.

As part of “Iron” project and GO new operation Model, the Head of Global Logistics will develop and lead a centralized logistics organization at Adama's Israel, to manage all logistics needs of 9 IL entities : MCW Beer Sheva, MCW Neot Hovav, Agan, Agan Aroma, MCW Local Market, Agan Local Market, Non-Agro, Jobbing Activity and Indirect Procurement Logistics Activities. This role demands expertise in international shipping, storage and land transportation to ensure operational excellence and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy and Leadership
• Develop a robust holistic logistics strategy to support IL business in the upcoming business challenges.
• Develop holistic operational synergies and shared resource models across 9 IL entities.
• Develop strong logistics unified organization.
• Operations responsibilities – teams management including logistics providers management (shipping lines/ custom brokerage / land transportation and warehousing):
• Import - Direct Responsibility for import and shipping the materials and products for the manufacturing sites and the IL commercial units . direct management of logistics import team. (~6,000 TEU annually)
• Export - Direct Responsibility for Export to Adama’s sales units and Ex-Il manufacturing sites with RM and finish goods. Managing shipping lines / custom brokers and 3rd party logistics warehouse providers. Direct management of logistics import team (~10,000 TEU’s annualy).
• Land transportation – direct responsibility for Inland transportation in IL and abroad supporting last mile activity, port – plant transaction and DC- Plants transitions– direct management of the land transportation team
• Storage – commercial and operation management of 3rd party warehousing logistics providers
• Unified logistics operations:

• Develop operational and commercial interfaces to support 9 business units, defining SLA / SOPs / KPIs
• Leverage procurement power to optimize costs.
• Share resources and explore synergies between the different entities
• Operational Excellence
• Define and implement logistics best practices across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and local authorities regulation.
• Implement cost and operational visibility tools to enhance efficiency.
• Budget – Direct responsibility
• Budget - building yearly IL logistics budget (~ 60M$)
• WP vs. Actual – Develop advanced financial monitoring tools for enhanced budget control.
• Develop cost centres - expenses allocations validation including clears cost centres owners.
• Iron project – logistics focal point for leading logistics efforts to integrate operations to 1 unified legal entity
