🚨 We’re Hiring: Head of Assignment Desk for i24NEWS International channels

We are looking for a highly organized and dynamic Head of Assignment Desk to join our team.

This is a key role at the heart of our newsroom operations, requiring strong multitasking abilities and sharp editorial judgment. The ideal candidate will oversee research, coordination, and production workflows while ensuring seamless collaboration across our English, French, and Arabic channels.

🔹 **Key Responsibilities:**

* Lead and manage assignment desk operations 

* Coordinate coverage and communication between English, French, and Arabic channels

* Build and manage daily and long-term work schedules for the English team

* Maintain real-time communication with field correspondents, directing coverage based on breaking news and developments

* Oversee research efforts and ensure editorial accuracy and efficiency

* Support production teams with timely and relevant information

🔹 **Requirements:**

* Minimum 3 years of experience in media (journalism experience is a strong advantage)

* Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced news environment

* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

* Strong communication and coordination abilities

* Fluent English (additional languages are an advantage)

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required

* Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe tools is an advantage
