Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a SOC Team Lead for a leading organization in Petah Tikva. This is a senior role combining team leadership with hands-on cybersecurity operations and advanced incident response.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the organization’s SOC operations end-to-end, including ongoing development and enhancement of security capabilities
- Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC analysts
- Perform hands-on investigation and analysis of complex cyber incidents
- Lead Incident Response processes and ensure effective handling of security events
- Drive continuous improvement of detection and response systems
- Lead technological projects to enhance the organization’s security posture
- Optimize and fine-tune SIEM, SOAR, and EDR rules and capabilities
- Work across multi-cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to reduce attack surfaces and strengthen security
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a SOC Team Lead
- At least 3 years of technical experience in SOC roles כגון Tier 2 or Incident Response
- Hands-on experience in forensic investigations and Threat Hunting, including building and improving detection use cases and alerts
- Strong experience with SIEM systems such as Splunk, Sentinel, or similar
- Ability to write complex queries using XQL, KQL, or SPL
- Experience in scripting for automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Proven experience working and investigating in multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
