The Role

As the Head of People (Maternity Cover, 6+ months), you will lead the end-to-end People function in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for driving day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and a central, energetic force within the organization. This role requires a blend of operational sharpness and empathetic leadership to maintain a high-performing and engaging company culture.

Description

• Lead and mentor the HR and Recruitment team by setting clear goals, tracking performance, and ensuring professional growth.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align human capital strategies with departmental needs and business objectives.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, policy development, and continuous employee support.
• Drive the end-to-end hiring strategy by monitoring pipeline health, conducting interviews, and maintaining a high quality-of-hire.
• Manage company-wide employee experience initiatives and large-scale events from budget planning to final execution.
• Advise managers on complex people-related challenges, performance management, and organizational health.
• Ensure seamless office operations and vendor management to maintain a productive and vibrant physical workspace.
  
  

• 4+ years of experience in HR or People management roles specifically within a fast-paced startup ecosystem.
• Proven track record of managing recruitment delivery and complex hiring processes in a hands-on and managerial capacity.
• Strong operational and project management skills with a high degree of attention to detail and follow-through.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to lead stakeholders effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to act with high ownership and independence while handling sensitive situations with discretion.
• Natural interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to building a positive and energetic office environment.
• Experience in HR analytics, building reports, and tracking KPIs - advantage.
• Previous experience implementing HRIS tools or lightweight reporting systems - advantage.
• Expertise in leading large-scale company events and managing welfare budgets - advantage.
