RT Embedded Developer – Leading Defense Company (Central Israel)

Position Overview:

Join an advanced R&D team consisting of Embedded developers and FPGA engineers, working on complex multidisciplinary systems. The role involves low-level development, hardware-software integration, and hands-on work close to the hardware.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in Embedded systems development using C / C++

Strong experience in Embedded Linux development, with a focus on low-level layers

Experience with one or more of the following distributions/tools: Buildroot / Yocto / PetaLinux / Debian

Experience working with RTOS such as FreeRTOS / uC/OS II / Zephyr

Experience in BSP and driver development for ARM processors and RF SoC components, with or without an operating system (Bare-metal)

Experience in board bring-up and hardware-software integration

Experience with communication protocols: Wi-Fi, Ethernet, TCP/IP

Experience with hardware interfaces: SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, RS422/485, ADC, DAC, DMA

Key Requirements:

Proven hands-on experience in low-level Linux development – must

Experience with: U-Boot, FSBL, Kernel, Device Tree

Advantages:

Experience writing technical specification documents (SRS / SDD / ICD)

Experience in FPGA development environments (Altera / Xilinx)

Experience with soft processors such as Nios / MicroBlaze

RF communication experience

Hardware development experience

VHDL development experience

Experience developing unit testing tools (Python / C# / Visual C++)
