Role Description

This is a full-time Senior Engineer position located on-site in Kfar Saba. The Senior Engineer will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of innovative technological solutions for retail automation. This role involves designing system architectures, writing clean and efficient code, troubleshooting technical challenges, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in system performance and reliability. The Senior Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and work closely with managers to deliver solutions aligned with business and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in software development, including experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++

• Deep hands-on knowledge of Linux

• Embedded development in C++

• In-depth knowledge of system architecture design, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, GCP), and system scalability

• Expertise in RFID technology, hardware integration, and electronic anti-theft systems (EAS)

• Experience with communication protocols — TCP/IP, USB, Bluetooth Classic

• Experience in troubleshooting, optimizing system performance, and ensuring system reliability

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

• Strong client-facing communication skills and a high sense of ownership

• Competence with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience in the retail technology industry or related fields is a plus

A strong advantage:

• Management or team lead experience

• PCB design and Arduino experience
