Backup Administrator

peax dorocm is seeking an experienced Backup Administrator to join a large, complex enterprise environment. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for managing and operating mission-critical backup systems, ensuring high availability, resilience, and reliable data recovery across essential platforms.

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise backup and recovery solutions
• Work hands-on with leading backup platforms: Commvault (mandatory), Veeam, Veritas NetBackup
• Define and enforce backup and recovery policies for critical environments, including:
• Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
• Databases (SQL / Oracle)
• File systems and enterprise applications
• Manage and operate storage environments (SAN / NAS / Cloud) and support system integrations
• Perform upgrades, migrations, and optimization of existing backup infrastructures
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze performance, and produce technical reports

• 3+ years of experience managing backup systems in large-scale enterprise environments – mandatory
• Proven hands-on experience with Commvault – mandatory

(Experience with Veeam / Veritas NetBackup is a strong advantage)

• Experience with backup and recovery of virtual environments (VMware / Hyper-V) and databases (SQL / Oracle) – mandatory
• Strong knowledge of storage systems and SAN/NAS protocols – mandatory
• Experience working with Windows and Linux in multi-server environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
• Active security clearance – mandatory
