Backed by Altshuler Shaham, we operate with the agility of a startup and the stability of a major financial group. Our platform supports multi-currency wallets, card issuing, FX services, and cross-border payments - and we recently obtained our own Mastercard issuing license.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can lead company-level compliance programs and regulatory obligations, drive cross-functional projects, and conduct hands-on compliance execution.

You will own broad regulatory responsibilities that shape how LAYA operates as an issuer, a payments company, and part of a regulated financial group.

What You Will Lead

• Own and manage LAYA’s corporate compliance frameworks - covering payments regulation, issuer obligations, and internal group standards

• Act as the primary compliance interface with the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) - including regulatory reporting and ongoing supervision

• Manage Mastercard compliance obligations (QMR, SAFE, SAR) and ensure full alignment with scheme requirements

• Work directly with Altshuler Shaham’s Chief Compliance Officer to maintain high standards of governance and regulatory integrity

• Serve as the compliance lead for external partners: Mastercard account managers, processors, acquirers, and additional ecosystem stakeholders

• Conduct focused AML and KYC procedures when required, ensuring policy adherence and supporting the company’s broader risk and compliance posture

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years in corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, financial regulation, or legal roles (payments, fintech, capital markets, or financial institutions)

• Background in legal, regulatory, or policy work - compliance officers, legal counsels, or regulatory project managers welcome

• Demonstrated experience working with ISA or other financial regulators

• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, mandatory

• Experience with the Mastercard scheme or other card networks – strong advantage

• Ability to translate regulation into operational and technical requirements

• High ownership, independent work style, and ability to manage multiple regulatory workstreams

• Excellent English (written and spoken), as most external interactions are international

• Knowledge of FX and multi-currency operations – advantage
