Cyber Security Analyst

Mertens Malam Team is hiring an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join a leading security organization in Israel.

Job Description:

This role involves joining an elite cyber defense team, focusing on transforming threat intelligence into operational detection logic, with strong emphasis on cloud security monitoring and advanced incident response.

Responsibilities include:

Managing and investigating complex security incidents (Tier 2/3), from detection through response and remediation

Designing, building, tuning, and improving detection rules and correlation logic in SIEM/XDR platforms

Leading cloud security monitoring strategy across AWS and Azure environments, including anomaly detection and log analysis

Performing proactive threat hunting to identify hidden threats and vulnerabilities

Developing defense strategies, incident response playbooks, and security methodologies

Leveraging Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) to strengthen organizational security posture

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience as a Cyber Security Analyst (Tier 2/3), SOC Analyst, or Incident Responder – required

Hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR systems such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar – required

Strong experience in cloud security monitoring and protection in AWS or Azure environments – required

Proficiency in query languages such as KQL, SPL, or SQL for log analysis and detection building – required

Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and attack vectors – required
