THE ROLE

We’re hiring a hands-on QA Lead who is passionate about quality, automation, and building QA into a true engineering discipline. Reporting to the CTO within the Engineering / QA department, this is a builder role: you’ll set standards, create the automation foundation, and help the team ship with confidence. This role follows a hybrid work model.

You’ll partner closely with developers, product, and DevOps, mentor others, and make quality a shared responsibility across the org.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Leadership & Standards

• Set and drive QA strategy, standards, and best practices across engineering
• Lead and mentor QA engineers, coaching toward strong automation practices
• Represent QA in planning, architecture reviews, and release readiness decisions
• Build a culture where quality is everyone’s job

Automation

• Design and implement end-to-end automation across frontend, backend, and APIs
• Develop and maintain automated suites in Python and .NET Core (backend/API)
• Own frontend automation strategy and tooling (Playwright/Selenium or similar)
• Integrate tests into CI/CD to keep feedback fast and reliable
• Turn critical manual coverage into stable automated regression over time

Collaboration & Process

• Partner with backend, frontend, and DevOps to bake in quality from day one
• Track quality metrics (coverage, defect trends) and drive improvements
• Own test strategy for new features, integrations, and releases
• Create lightweight playbooks/runbooks so QA knowledge scales

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

• 2+ years in a QA Team Lead (or similar) role
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong automation skills across Python (pytest or similar), .NET Core, and API/UI testing tools (e.g., REST/Postman, Playwright/Selenium/Cypress)
• You enjoy mentoring and raising the bar for the people around you
• Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing more than one hat
• Strong written and verbal communication in English

Strong Advantages

• Experience working with cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with performance or load testing
• Background in AI/ML product testing or data validation
• Experience building QA processes in a startup or scale-up environment
