System Architect – Deep-Tech / Multidisciplinary Systems

We are a cutting-edge Defense-Tech startup developing complex multidisciplinary systems. We are looking for a strong System Architect to lead the architectural domain. We highly welcome candidates coming from the Automotive (ADAS), Advanced Imaging, or Deep-Tech sensors industries who are looking to bring their expertise into the defense sector.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who can take real ownership over system definition and drive complex systems from concept to working product and mass production.

Role Overview End-to-end responsibility for system architecture — from marketing/system requirements and concept, through system decomposition, interface definition, to integration, validation, and manufacturability. The role includes leading the architectural effort (including close work with FPGA, Hardware, and Optics engineers), and driving critical engineering decisions across the system.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system architecture of complex multidisciplinary products (Hardware, Optical, Mechanical, and Software).
• Define and write System Requirements, Architecture Docs, ICDs, and simulation models.
• Translate system needs into clear, implementable subsystem definitions.
• Drive engineering trade-offs (performance / cost / risk / complexity / manufacturability).
• Work closely with FPGA, hardware, electro-optics, algorithms, integration, and validation teams.
• Support system modeling and develop simulators to evaluate system performance (e.g., using MATLAB).
• Define interfaces and ensure architectural consistency.
• Support integration, debugging, and system-level validation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, certifications, and safety standards.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Physics / Systems Engineering or similar.
• ~8+ years of experience in complex multidisciplinary systems.
• Experience as a System Architect / Senior System Engineer.
• Strong background in the imaging world / electro-optical systems: LiDAR, ToF, Structured Light, RGB/IR cameras, or DVS .
• Strong understanding of FPGA, real-time processing, signal chains, and board-level hardware design.
• Experience driving a product from the definition phase to Mass Production, including cost reduction and EoL testing methodologies.
• Proven ability to write clear system-level documentation.
• Ability to operate both at a system-wide and deep tech
