Senior Backend Engineer

We’re working with a well-funded product startup in the Cyber / Cloud security domain, building a next-generation platform for large-scale, cloud-native environments.

This is a high-impact backend role focused on designing and scaling distributed systems, with real ownership over architecture and core infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build large-scale distributed backend systems
• Architect cloud-native services and microservices ecosystems
• Own core infrastructure and system design decisions
• Work on scalability, resilience, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and research on complex system challenges

What we’re looking for:

• ~6+ years of backend experience in strong engineering teams
• Strong experience with distributed systems & scalable architectures
• Proven background working with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) – must
• Experience designing or refactoring complex systems at scale
• Strong backend fundamentals (Go preferred, but not required)
• Ability to take end-to-end ownership in fast-paced environments

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with Golang
• Experience with high-scale production systems
• Background in Cyber / Security products
• Military tech background
• Experience with: gRPC / Protobuf / GraphQL / Python
