PayPlus is a fast-growing fintech company providing end-to-end payment and commerce solutions, including payment processing, POS terminals, acquiring, digital invoicing, subscriptions, and loyalty programs.

We serve thousands of businesses across Israel and are expanding into Europe through Wittix UAB, our EMI-licensed entity regulated by the Bank of Lithuania.

We are building Stripe-level infrastructure with a lean team and a strong ownership culture.

Role Overview

We are looking for a certified CPA to take full ownership of all financial and accounting operations across our Israeli and European entities.

This is a hands-on, standalone role for someone who combines strong accounting expertise with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

You will be responsible for managing all financial activities end-to-end, while working closely with leadership and external providers.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Accounting (Hands-On)

• Manage full-cycle accounting: AP, AR, reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Manage cash flow, bank accounts, and payment processes
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial data

Oversight & Control

• Manage and review external accountants, auditors, and service providers (Israel & Europe)
• Ensure compliance, quality, and alignment across all financial activities
• Improve processes and implement best practices

Tax & Regulatory Compliance (Israel)

• Manage VAT filings and all Israeli tax reporting
• Oversee payroll tax compliance
• Work closely with external auditors on year-end reporting

European Operations (Wittix UAB)

• Oversee financial and regulatory activities of the EMI entity
• Ensure compliance with Bank of Lithuania requirements
• Manage FX, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing

Business Support

• Support decision-making through financial insights
• Build basic financial models and forecasts as needed

Requirements

Must Have

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) – mandatory
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting / finance (tech or fintech – advantage)
• Proven hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting
• Strong knowledge of Israeli tax regulations and reporting
• Experience working with accounting/ERP systems
• Full professional fluency in Hebrew & English
• High ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech / payments / international companies
• Familiarity with European regulation (EMI, PSD2, AML/KYC)
• Experience with intercompany accounting and FX
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
