SecOps Engineer

A fast-growing SaaS technology company is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to join its global security function. This role focuses on strengthening cloud security posture, improving detection and response capabilities, and embedding security into engineering and operational workflows.

The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, cloud-native systems and collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and IT teams to enhance overall security maturity.

Location: Remote (EMEA).

Responsibilities

• Operate and enhance security monitoring and incident response platforms (e.g., SIEM, SOAR)
• Analyze system and application telemetry to detect and respond to suspicious activity
• Implement and maintain secure configurations across cloud environments (multi-cloud preferred)
• Improve security controls within CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
• Review and prioritize findings from application and infrastructure security tools
• Partner with engineering teams to address vulnerabilities and improve secure design practices
• Contribute to audit readiness and compliance efforts (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks)
• Promote and enforce security standards, policies, and best practices across the organization

Requirements (Must Have)

• 6+ years of experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, or a similar role
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Familiarity with security tooling such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management platforms
• Understanding of modern application architectures, including containers and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience working closely with engineering and DevOps teams in a cloud-native environment
• Ability to lead or influence cross-functional security initiatives
• Exposure to security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
