Tech Lead - Satellite Team

VISINT & Multi-Sensor Intelligence Platform

At Algolight, we are building large-scale AI systems that transform satellite and aerial data (EO, SAR, and beyond) into actionable intelligence.

These systems span:

• Massive data ingestion pipelines from spaceborne and airborne sensors
• Advanced AI/ML pipelines for detection, change analysis, and scene understanding
• Distributed compute environments for training, inference, and analytics
• Operational systems deployed in real-world, mission-critical environments

As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a research-driven team and delivering end-to-end AI systems, from early research to deployed operational capability.

🚀 What You’ll Be Responsible For

🧠 Leading a Research-Driven Squad

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of:
• AI researchers
• ML engineers
• data engineers
• Define and guide research directions in:
• VISINT (EO / SAR)
• change detection
• multi-sensor fusion
• Bridge the gap between:
• research ideas → production systems

🔄 Owning the Full ML Lifecycle

• Lead end-to-end ML system development:
• Data → Preprocessing → Training → Evaluation → Deployment → Monitoring
• Ensure:
• reproducibility
• traceability
• data and model quality
• Define and enforce:
• evaluation standards
• model success metrics (accuracy, robustness, latency)

🏗️ System Architecture & Design

• Design and own the architecture of scalable, distributed AI systems
• Integrate:
• geospatial data pipelines
• ML components
• real-time and batch inference systems
• Make key decisions on:
• technologies
• frameworks
• system design patterns

🔍 Hands-On Technical Leadership

• Stay deeply involved in:
• model development (CV, EO/SAR, multi-modal)
• data processing pipelines
• system-level challenges
• Perform deep dives into:
• algorithms
• data quality issues
• performance bottlenecks
• Operate across domains:
• research ↔ data ↔ systems ↔ production

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in AI / ML systems development
• Proven experience leading technical or research teams
• Strong experience building end-to-end AI systems

Core Technical Strengths

• Deep understanding of the ML lifecycle:
• data → model → deployment
• Hands-on experience with:
• deep learning (CV / multi-modal)
• data engineering and pipelines
• Strong system-level thinking:
• distributed systems (advantage)
