Engineering Team Lead - AI & Integrations

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join a fast-growing global SaaS company building a next-generation platform powered by AI.

This is a high-impact role leading a team at the intersection of AI innovation and platform connectivity, working on capabilities that directly shape how thousands of organizations operate and scale.

About the Role

You’ll lead a team of 7 engineers across two core domains:

• AI-driven product capabilities (LLMs, RAG, semantic search)
• Integration infrastructure (APIs, webhooks, and external system connectivity)

This role goes beyond team management - you’ll be responsible for technical leadership, architectural direction, and driving innovation. You’re expected to identify opportunities, push boundaries, and ensure the team is building scalable, high-quality solutions.

You’ll work closely with Product, Architecture, and other engineering leaders to turn vision into execution.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Grow the Team

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Drive Execution

Own delivery of the team’s roadmap — ensuring features are well-designed, delivered on time, and meet a high-quality bar.

Own Architecture

Lead system design and technical decisions end-to-end. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with broader platform architecture.

Push AI Innovation

Stay up to date with the latest in AI (LLMs, RAG, tooling) and proactively bring new ideas and capabilities into the product.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

Partner closely with Product Managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align priorities and execute effectively.

Raise Engineering Standards

Drive best practices across code quality, testing, CI/CD, and microservices architecture.

Support Hiring & Scaling

Take part in hiring and onboarding as the team grows.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• 4+ years in a Team Lead / Engineering Manager role
• Strong backend background with Node.js
• Experience building and delivering production-grade systems
• Solid understanding of AI integrations (LLMs, APIs, prompt engineering)
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
• Strong system design and architectural skills
• Ability to lead technically without being hands-on day-to-day
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, semantic search
• Background with integration platforms / iPaaS solutions
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Ability to dive into code when needed
