Job Description We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our operations team and take ownership of both day-to-day procurement activities and international logistics processes.This role ensures the timely availability of materials, components, and equipment in the required quality and at optimal cost, while also managing import and export activities in compliance with timelines and regulatory requirements.The position reports directly to the COO, works closely with the Procurement Coordinator, and involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, as well as local and international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational & Ongoing ProcurementExecute day-to-day operational and technical procurement activitiesIssue Purchase Orders (POs) to local and international suppliersMonitor deliveries, lead times, and proactively manage delaysPurchase Requisitions & Technical / Logistical AlignmentHandle Purchase Requisitions (PRs) from all company departmentsCoordinate with suppliers to ensure technical and logistical alignmentSupport internal stakeholders in defining procurement requirementsSupplier ManagementManage ongoing relationships with existing suppliersSource and evaluate new suppliers locally and globally based on technical requirementsObtain, analyze, and compare supplier quotations (pricing, availability, delivery terms)Handle quality issues, returns, and RMA processesImport & Export OperationsCoordinate international shipments (import of components and export of products)Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and global suppliersPrepare shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, export documents)Track shipments and ensure adherence to timelinesEnsure compliance with regulatory and export control requirementsCoordinate internally to support timely and accurate deliveries to customersDocumentation & ControlMaintain accurate documentation of purchase orders, suppliers, and contractsManage procurement activities within ERP systemsReview and reconcile supplier invoices against purchase ordersSupport procurement reporting and budget tracking
RequirementsEducation & Experience2–4 years of proven experience in a procurement role – mandatoryExperience in technical / industrial procurement – mandatoryTechnician certificate or bachelor’s degree – advantageKnowledge & SkillsExperience procuring electronic components, mechanical parts, and production or laboratory equipmentFamiliarity with international shipping and import/export processesAbility to read and understand technical specifications – significant advantageProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong emphasis on ExcelHands-on experience working with ERP systems – mandatory (advantage with Priority ERP)Preferred QualificationsExperience in a defense company or defense-related industry.Familiarity with defense regulations and sensitive supply chains.Experience in international procurement, shipping, and import processes.Knowledge of quality standards (ISO / AS).Security clearance or willingness to undergo security clearance.Personal AttributesHigh level of organization and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.High sense of personal responsibility and accuracy.Assertive yet professional approach when working with suppliers.LanguagesHebrew – native levelEnglish – high level, written and spoken (daily interaction with international suppliers)
