Job Description

Smirnoff is the world’s #1 vodka and top selling 6 pack Flavored Malt Beverage (FMB) and this is a fast moving, ever-changing business driven strongly by flavor and lifestyle trends. Diageo is seeking an insightful Senior brand marketer with strategic leadership and marketing functional excellence to lead brand planning and execution for a half billion-dollar business. Based in Manhattan, the Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for developing brand strategies and leading a team to implement marketing plans and product launches that deliver annual operating plans & share growth with a significant annual marketing spend for the malt beverage side of the Smirnoff trademark business.

We’re seeking a Senior Brand Manager to be responsible for business management, creative development and integrated marketing plans. This Senior Brand Manager role will be a key partner to commercial, finance, media, innovation, CP&A and supply chain. This role is critical to shaping creative brand strategy, development/execution of a brand platform across the marketing mix and leading the strategy and execution of a robust media plan. This person will play a key role within the organization, driving clarity and passion around the agenda with internal and external partners while helping to set the course for future growth.

Key Outputs / Deliverables

Partner with US brand leadership in development and execution of integrated creative campaigns
Partner with US brand leadership to deliver annual Marketing Business Plan (MBP), enroll key partners and brief agencies to deliver activity plan
Lead in culture brand partnership strategy and execution in partnership with Brands in Culture team (PR/Influencers)
Lead media/connections planning in collaboration with central media & agency team
Partner with innovation team to launch new propositions and develop go to market strategy
Drive agenda for quarterly and bi-annual partner business reviews and monthly commercial team reviews

Experience

MBA preferred, undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
5-7+ years marketing experience with track record of creating / implementing brand strategies and campaigns with tangible results
Consumer goods experience preferred, three-tiered industries or alcohol beverage experience a plus
US experience preferred
Highly-skilled relationship builder and influencer
Ability to demonstrate consumer insight and achieve creative excellence and effective marketing programs
Strong commercial skill with ability to enroll and motivate a large, complex sales organization
Ability to maintain positive outlook amidst challenges and effectively problem-solve and make decisions
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, prioritize and drive to action
Lead PR, culture and influencer / partnerships strategy
Appreciation of and passion for challenger brand marketing principles and attitude.
Prior experience of working cross-functionally and with Global Brand Resources an advantage.
