We are looking for a commercially-driven, high-caliber Director of Business & Legal Operations.
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between legal complexity and commercial strategy.
You will lead the licensing lifecycle, drive complex negotiations, and optimize and streamline business processes to accelerate deal closures and maximize portfolio value.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy & Optimization: Develop and implement scalable licensing models and pricing strategies to drive profitable growth.
- Business Process Improvement: Lead the evolution of commercial proposal templates and license agreements to increase operational efficiency and shorten "Time-to-Contract."
- High-Stakes Negotiation: Act as the commercial lead in complex negotiations with global semiconductor giants, fabless companies, and system integrators.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Product, and Legal to ensure business objectives are aligned, and contract compliance is maintained.
- Portfolio Monetization: Evaluate market positioning and competitive analysis to identify new revenue streams within the company’s portfolio.
Qualifications
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LL.B/LL.M), Economics, or Business Administration (Advantage). Degrees in Electrical/Computer Engineering are also welcomed.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in the Semiconductor, Security End-Point, or broader Tech industry.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record in licensing, business operations, or strategic business development.
- Negotiation Power: Hands-on experience in structuring and closing complex, multi-million dollar technology licensing agreements.
- Process Mindset: A strong background in optimizing commercial workflows and managing contract lifecycles in a global environment.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical value into commercial success.
Preferred Skills
- MBA or advanced legal/technical degree.
- Background in both agile startups and large-scale global organizations.
- Deep understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem.
- Willingness to travel globally as needed.
