About the Role:

Eyeviation is seeking an Art Lead who thrives in the early “zero-to-one” stage of building a product. This is a foundational role for an experienced designer who combines a deep artistic vision with a builder’s mindset. You will lead the visual and UX direction of our VR-based platform, ensuring our complex AI-driven data is translated into intuitive, high-impact training experiences. Working closely with product leadership and early enterprise customers, you will own the look and feel of our ecosystem across VR, flat-screen applications, and hardware interfaces, ensuring our technology evolves in the right direction while supporting scalable, real-world deployments.

You will play a key role in shaping the design language, product culture, and user experience that will support our first enterprise deployments. Your decisions will influence how the system is perceived, how users interact with AI feedback, and how our visual identity integrates with real-world customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

● Foundational Design Leadership: You will help define and establish design processes, visual standards, and UX priorities as the platform evolves from early-stage R&D to production-ready systems.

● Visual & UX Architecture Ownership: Own the visual identity and UX vision of a multi-disciplinary platform spanning immersive VR training, data-heavy dashboards, and physical hardware interfaces.

● Customer-Driven Design: Engage with early customers to understand real-world challenges and ensure that platform layouts, user flows, and interfaces are designed to support scalable, intuitive training.

● Full Product Lifecycle: Oversee the design-to-production pipeline, ensuring visual consistency, asset optimization for VR, and usability validation in real training contexts.

● Team Building & Guidance: Help recruit, mentor, and guide a lean team of in-house designers and freelancers, providing creative leadership and aligning design efforts with product goals.

● Hands-on Problem Solving: Remain actively involved in production from day one designing user flows, layouts, and production-ready assets while solving complex UI/UX dependencies. Technical Stack & Environment

● Platform: VR (Unity3D), Web (React/Next.js Dashboards), and Mobile

● Design Tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Blender

● Target Hardware: VR Headsets, high-fidelity flat screens, and physical training peripherals Requirements

● 8+ years of experience a must - in visual design and UI/UX roles, including leadership or senior positions.

● A strong portfolio that demonstrates both high-end visual quality and deep "UX thinking" for complex, functional products.

● Proven background in system design, able to maintain a consistent look & feel across a diverse ecosystem (VR, web, and hardware).

● Excellent, hands-on UX/UI skills with the ability to take a concept from a rough user flow to final, production-ready assets.

● Leadership experience, including working with and mentoring in-house team members or managing freelancers.

● Ability to translate product and customer needs into scalable, professional-grade visual solutions. ● Hands-on mindset and willingness to actively "get your hands dirty" in the design and production process.

Bonus Qualifications

● Experience developing VR-based systems or real-time interactive platforms.

● Experience leading multi-disciplinary creative teams (UI, UX, 3D Artists).

● Experience building complex platforms with multiple integrated data-visualization components. ● Background in the defense, simulation, or high-performance sports industry.
