Job Description: Power Systems & Electronics Engineer

Role Description

Lead the development of energy generation and electronic systems for an innovative airborne platform. You will own the power architecture and oversee comprehensive electronic design and hardware integration, ensuring reliable performance in airborne environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Power Architecture: Design solar energy harvesting, storage, and distribution networks (PDN).
• Electronic Oversight: Manage the full electronic design cycle and hardware integration (avionics and control).
• Process Leadership: Lead PDR/CDR, draft specifications, and manage multidisciplinary subcontractors.
• Solar & Storage: Characterize MPPT-efficient solar systems and integrate advanced BMS and converters.
• Prototyping: Hands-on lab testing, construction, and performance verification of electronic prototypes.
• Flight Integration: Execute hardware-software integration and analyze flight test data.
• Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Power/Energy specialization preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years in power systems or complex electronic hardware.
• Electronics: Proven expertise in DC/DC converters, solar cells, and battery management.
• HV/LV: Strong understanding of High/Low voltage safety and isolation standards.

Engineering Skills

• Hands-on: Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, loads), soldering, and prototyping.
• Systems Thinking: Ability to integrate electrical, thermal, and mechanical constraints.
• Management: Experience leading projects from requirements through to production.

Advantages (Nice to Have)

• Aerospace: UAV/Space industry experience and knowledge of DO-160 standards.
• EMI/RFI: Experience designing noise-resistant systems.
• Thermal: Knowledge of heat dissipation for power electronics and batteries.
